The Left kept going to the left, dragging the centrists along with it. What we have ended up with is an absurdly radical far left and leftists. The centrists did not stay in the center.
Obamacare was once a radical proposition from the left. In 14 short years, Obamacare is now centrist, and the Left today wants to enslave doctors to universal healthcare. This is how far things have moved.
